Since 2021, Santé has increased its equity interest in Folium Drying Limited, a Canterbury-based BioGro-certified harvesting and drying company. Santé is committed to partnering with New Zealand-certified organic growers and manufacturers and playing an integral part in the New Zealand industry.
From initially simply sourcing from BioGro-certified organic producers, Santé has since gained BioGro accreditation for itself and its Philippines-based toll packers. The decision to gain organic certification completed supply chain certification. Santé customers can see the BioGro accreditation on flagship products. This provides a level of trust for customers and recognition that the company is walking the talk with selected products carrying the BioGro logo.
Santé is enormously proud of its organic certification and its relationship with BioGro. The BioGro Team has proven an excellent accreditation partner, particularly as Santé has the challenge of geographical distance from New Zealand.
Santé initially purchased hundreds of kilograms of New Zealand-certified organic barley powder, but by 2011, Santé was importing over 50 tons of raw material per year, and volumes have grown since then. It is no exaggeration to say Santé is a major customer of New Zealand-certified organic arable products and has significantly influenced the development of organic cereal leaf powder growing and processing in Canterbury.
With Santé Barley as its flagship brand, Santé has grown to dominate the Philippine market. The company's product suite has been expanded to include an array of natural products that are true to the company’s promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
