BioGro Names New CEO

BioGro Names New CEO

We are very pleased to announce that we have appointed Donald Nordeng as our new CEO. He starts at BioGro in mid-January 2015.

Donald’s appointment comes as part of leadership transition that was announced in September this year after Michelle stepped down from the position.

We are excited for him to join the team as he is an accomplished director with extensive experience in leading and growing companies within the organic certification industry.

Donald is US born and has been based in Tokyo, Japan for the last 26 years.

Most recently, Donald has been CEO of Daabon Organic, leading a dynamic team responsible for the largest volume of organic products imported from South America to Japan.

Prior to this, Donald spent eleven years as managing director of Ecocert Japan, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ecocert SA - the largest sustainable development certifier in the world.

He said he is “excited to come to New Zealand as it’s a place that I’ve always wanted to live and explore and help grow organics.”

Donald’s appointment is part of an incredibly exciting new phase for BioGro. He will continue building key relationships and partnerships with people and organisations that are working to grow organics here in New Zealand and around the world.

Donald will be in touch with all of our customers and licensees when he starts. If you would like to know more about him in the meantime, please take a look at his LinkedIn profile.
