We offer a range of organic certification programmes to suit your situation e.g. each programme requires that producers meet certain Organic Standards and allows producers to use specific BioGro and market access logos.

BioGro's Internationally Accredited Programme:

This is our flagship programme covering all organic production and service scopes and enables access to all major international markets and New Zealand’s domestic market.

This programme allows you to apply for additional organic and export market programmes including:


IFOAM accredited certification.


MAF Official Organic Assurance Programme for exports to Europe, Switzerland, United States and Japan.


JAS for exports to Japan.


COR for exports to Canada


COR to the terms of US – Canada Organic Equivalency Agreement for exports to the US.


BioGro's Domestic Programme

This programme is designed for primary producers supplying fresh produce or processed product made from their own produce for local market. 


BioGro's Input Certification Programme

This programme approves inputs for use in certified organic production. To be certified under this programme, the input must comply with BioGro's Organic Standards and other relevant market access standards and regulations.

Fraudulent feijoas a pest for organics community

 

On 15 December 2011, MAF released a press release which reported that six samples of organic feijoas included in the Food Residue Surveillance Programme (FRSP) were found to contain residues of pesticides that are not permitted to be used in organic production. MAF have subsequently confirmed that the feijoas were certified organic. The name of the certifier is yet to be disclosed.
